The Full Story

Dr. Mark Jones never intended to become the world's first Literary Paranormal Investigator. What started as simple frustration with organizing books in an antique bookcase quickly evolved into something far more mysterious when he discovered handwritten therapy notes appearing in his collection—notes discussing "species dysphoria" and "performance anxiety" for patients who shouldn't exist.
As Chief Investigator and founder of The Fiction Bureau, Dr. Jones documents unauthorized fictional character crossovers between books, movies, television shows, Broadway productions, and other media using professional investigation techniques. His systematic approach treats these literary anomalies with the same rigor applied to any serious research, combining academic methodology with genuine curiosity about unexplained phenomena.
A USC alumnus with screenwriting credentials, Dr. Jones brings both analytical skills and storytelling expertise to his investigations. His presentations feature real case files, photographic evidence, and interactive demonstrations that engage audiences while exploring the possibility that fictional characters live more complex lives than we realize.
Dr. Jones is a registered vendor providing educational programming to libraries, community centers, and organizations throughout the region. His work has been featured across multiple platforms, and he continues investigating literary anomalies while sharing his findings with audiences who appreciate the intersection of mystery, literature, and rigorous documentation.
