Welcome to The Fiction Bureau (the “Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our website (thefictionbureau.org) and the services we offer (including case files, reports, events, and user submissions), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site or its services.

1.1. These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you (the “User”, “you”, or “your”) and The Fiction Bureau.

2. Services & Use
2.1. The Fiction Bureau investigates, analyzes, and publishes content related to literary paranormal phenomena and unauthorized fictional character crossovers. We share our findings through case files, reports, events, and community interactions.
2.2. All access to the Site and use of its services (including submitting content, downloading reports, registering for events) must be in accordance with these Terms.
2.3. We reserve the right to refuse or disable access to any user for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
3. User Accounts & Submissions
3.1. Some features (such as submitting tips, leads, or joining community forums) may require you to register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
3.2. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
3.3. When you submit content (e.g. tips, reports, user‑generated material), you grant us a non‑exclusive, perpetual, royalty‑free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, distribute, and display that content in any media or format now known or later developed, subject to our Privacy Policy.
3.4. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your submissions, and that they do not violate any third‑party rights.
4. Intellectual Property & Content Use
4.1. The content on the Site (texts, reports, images, videos, logos, trademarks) is owned by or licensed to The Fiction Bureau, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
4.2. You may view, download, or print portions of the Site for your personal, noncommercial use only, provided you retain all copyright, trademark, and other notices.
4.3. You may not modify, publish, transmit, distribute, reverse engineer, reproduce, create derivative works, or publicly display any content from the Site without our prior written permission.
5. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
By using the Site, you agree not to:
